   9 \fIvlc-config\fP is a tool that is used to configure to determine
  10 the compiler and linker flags that should be used to compile
  11 and link programs that use \fIlibvlc\fP.

  13 .SH OPTIONS

  15 \fIvlc-config\fP accepts the following options:
  16 .TP 8
  17 .B  \-\-version
  18 Print the currently installed version of \fIlibvlc\fP on the standard output.
  19 .TP 8
  20 .B  \-\-libs
  21 Print the linker flags that are necessary to link a \fIlibvlc\fP program.
  22 .TP 8
  23 .B  \-\-cflags
  24 Print the compiler flags that are necessary to compile a \fIlibvlc\fP program.

  26 .B  \-\-prefix=PREFIX
  27 If specified, use PREFIX instead of the installation prefix that \fIlibvlc\fP
  28 was built with when computing the output for the \-\-cflags and
  29 \-\-libs options. This option is also used for the exec prefix
  30 if \-\-exec\-prefix was not specified. This option must be specified
  31 before any \-\-libs or \-\-cflags options.

  33 .B  \-\-exec\-prefix=PREFIX
  34 If specified, use PREFIX instead of the installation exec prefix that
  35 \fIlibvlc\fP was built with when computing the output for the \-\-cflags
  36 and \-\-libs options.  This option must be specified before any
  37 \-\-libs or \-\-cflags options.
